WHAT IS AIRBRUSH TANNING?
Airbrush tanning involves applying a smooth and even micro-fine mist of tanning solution with an airbrush. Unlike spray booths, airbrush tanning is applied by hand by our certified airbrush artists, giving you a healthy glow without the downsides associated with UV tanning such as skin damage, premature wrinkles, sagging and risk of skin cancer.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR THE DAY OF MY TAN?
You will want to wear dark loose fitting clothing; a maxi dress, loose skirt, or anything that doesn’t cling to your body the way tight jeans do. Sweat pants and shirt are ok, as long as they are Loose and not clingy.
HOW DARK WILL I BE AFTER ONE SESSION?
Though effective, airbrush tanning is not an exact science, and results will vary depending on the client’s skin type. We have different solution strengths that compensate for different skin types. You should have realistic expectations, and you should let us know about any areas of concern on your body that you may have. But we know you’ll be impressed with the results!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The tanning session takes approximately 20 minutes.
HOW LONG WILL MY AIRBRUSH TAN LAST?
Depending on how you take care of your skin, your tan can last approximately 7 days. Airbrush tans fade just like real tans do: skin cell replacement naturally “fades” your skin. Exfoliants like loofahs, bar soap, chlorine from pools and hot tubs, swimming in the ocean, shaving or waxing will also hasten the fading of your tan. Cold weather or excessive sun bathing can also cause your skin to peel, so protect yourself if you expose yourself to these conditions. We highly advise that you use one of our extenders to increase the amount of time your tan will last.
It’s important to note that simply swimming in a pool or ocean will not cause your tan to “wash off.”
IS IT SAFE?
Our solution contains DHA, which the Academy of Dermatology says is the common ingredient in the most effective sunless tanning products. This solution is not absorbed by your body; instead, it reacts with the proteins in the outermost layer of your skin to produce the tanning effect.
CAN I GET A TAN IF I AM PREGNANT?
We recommend that you talk to your doctor before you decide to have an airbrush tan. That said, for years pregnant women have had no trouble using sunless tanning like ours.
